PARIS – Schlumberger Business Consulting has appointed Dr. Adnan Shihab-Eldin and Claude Mandil to the board of the SBC Energy Institute.
Shihab-Eldin is a former acting secretary general and director of research at OPEC. He is currently an adviser to and member of the Kuwait National Nuclear Energy Committee and director general of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. Mandil has served as executive director of the International Energy Agency.
The SBC Energy Institute is a non-profit organization and a center of excellence for scientific and technological research for issues pertaining to the energy industry in the 21st century. It draws on SBC consultants and Schlumberger technological know-how, and is overseen by a Scientific Committee comprising of experienced individuals in the areas of natural and applied sciences, business, and petroleum engineering.
