OSLO, Norway -- Aker Pusnes has won two contracts worth a total of NOK120 million ($21.8 million) to supply Pusnes offloading systems for two Brazilian FPSOs.
The systems will be installed on theP-58 andP-62, both currently being converted for Petrobras.
These will be spread-moored FPSOs, employing the Pusnes offloading system at both the bow and stern. This provides safe and secure connection from the FPSO via a crude oil hose to the DP shuttle tanker's bow loading system, says Pusnes. In an emergency, the oil flow can be quickly stopped and the vessels disconnected rapidly and safely.
For this contract, Pusnes and parent company Aker Solutions also will supply tanker mooring and crude oil transfer components, and emergency offloading stations. Delivery is scheduled during 2011-12.
