HOUSTON -- PIDX, Inc. has been established as an independent, industry-managed, non-profit standards body to replace API’s Petroleum Industry Data Exchange (PIDX) Committee.
The new organization will be dedicated to development and maintenance of global eBusiness standards for the oil and gas industry.
PIDX, Inc. will house intellectual property, resources, and documentation formerly managed by the API PIDX Committee. It will be overseen by a board comprising representatives from senior oil companies, suppliers and technology support companies (but essentially the team that led API’s PIDX Committee).
