Dolphin christens Polar Duke

Dolphin Geophysical AS has christened the M/V Polar Duke at the GMC Shipyard in Stavanger, Norway.

BERGEN, Norway – Dolphin Geophysical AS has christened theM/V Polar Duke at the GMC Shipyard in Stavanger, Norway.

The Polar Duke is a purpose-built 3D vessel that can tow 14 streamers at 100 m (328 ft) of separation. It has Sercel SSAS Sentinel streamers and a bollard pull of 210 metric tons.

Earlier, Dolphin announced that TGS-Nopec has chartered the vessel for 3D multi-client seismic acquisition projects off Europe this summer.
