Offshore staff
LONDON – BP has awarded AMEC a five-year brownfield contract covering its offshore and onshore assets in Azerbaijan, with two possible four-year extensions.
Under the $600-million Engineering and Small Projects contract, AMEC will provide project management, engineering, construction management, and commissioning for engineering modifications to BP’s existing oil and gas facilities in Azerbaijan.
The work will be performed in Baku with local company Azfen.
BP is combining its two existing offshore and onshore engineering modifications services (EMS) contracts into one overall contract covering the Sangachal terminal and all offshore facilities serving the Shah Deniz and Azeri Chirag Guneshli oil and gas fields.
Previously, AMEC was responsible for only the offshore EMS.
This program is in addition to the five-year Master Services Agreement awarded to the AMEC Tekfen Azfen (ATA) consortium last July, and the two call-offs under that agreement:
- The $340-million Chirag oil project – West Chirag project, also awarded last July
- The $20-million process, compression, water injection and utilities brownfield integration contract issued in October.
