HOUSTON – Trident Risk Management, LLC says it has an award from Foster Wheeler USA Corp. for a work scope including a reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis; a marine vessel collision risk assessment; an infield flowline risk assessment; and layers of protection analysis (LOPA) for offshore and onshore facilities as part of front-end engineering design (FEED) for the Perla field early production development project.

The Perla field is a non-associated natural gas discovery in the Cardon IV block, Gulf of Venezuela. Foster Wheeler Upstream, a division of Foster Wheeler AG’s Global Engineering and Construction Group, has been performing pre-FEED and FEED work for Cardon IV S.A. under a contract announced in October 2010.

The study work by Trident Risk Management is an extension of the engineering and business consulting firm’s work as loss prevention engineer and risk expert developing the project risk register and project risk management plan, and leading process hazards analyses, during the pre-FEED and FEED stages on the Perla project.
