DUBLIN, Ireland -- Providence Resources has hired the semisub GSF Arctic III for a well program in the Celtic Sea off southern Ireland this summer.
The contract is for a minimum of 54 days with options to extend, should Providence opt to drill further wells.
The main objective will be to further appraise the Barryroe oil accumulation, with this well likely to spud late August. Recently the R.V. Celtic Voyager completed well site surveys.
