HOUSTON – An ultra compact pump will be introduced to North America by Danfoss Oil & Gas at the OTC this year. The CLP (chemical liquid pump) is based on positive displacement axial piston to get its light, compact design.

Danfoss says the pump offers 50- 95% reduction in weight and size, pressure ripples as low as 1.5%, and 2–10 times longer service interval. The reduction in dynamic seals and bearings by a factor of four, and far fewer components than traditional plunger pumps ensures high pump reliability. In an emergency, the compact and light pump allows for a fast replacement.

The pump covers flow range from a few l/h to 90 cu m/h (23.8 gal/h), pressures up to 210 bar (3,046 psi), and direct temperatures up to 95° C (203° F).
