Offshore staff
GOLETA, CA -- Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering has contracted Bardex to supply the mooring system for Total’s CLOV FPSO, destined for block 17 offshore Angola.
The spread will comprise 16 BarLatch fairlead stoppers rated to hold the 17,347 kN break strength of the 147-mm (5.8-in.) mooring top chain; four moveable chain jacks providing a 3,960 kN stall capacity; two messenger winches, each with 2,750 kN stall capacity; two 480 kW HPUs; and associated deck handling equipment, controls and instrumentation.
