Woodside makes new gas discovery off Western Australia

PERTH, Western Australia – Woodside says its Martin-1 well in WA-404-P has found 100 m. (328 ft.) of gross gas in a Triassic target. Wireline logging has confirmed the discovery by recovering gas samples and establishing a gas pressure gradient.

The well hit TD of 4,778 m. (15,676 ft.). It is in Carnarvon basin within 14 km. (8 ½ mi.) of Woodside’s gas finds at the Martell-1, Noblige-1, Larsen-1, Larsen Deep-1, and Remy-1 wells.
