ABERDEEN, Scotland -- TWMA has won contracts worth around $1.6 million to process waste from drilling projects in the UK North Sea.
The contracts were placed by well management companies Applied Drilling Technology International (ADTI), a division of Transocean, and Senergy.
ADTI’s contract is for three to four months and covers treatment and recycling of drill cuttings from the semisub Transocean Prospect, currently working on the Cladhan discovery in the northern North Sea.
Senergy’s two-month contract involves handling and recycling drill cuttings from the jackup Energy Enhancer operating on Ithaca Energy’s Jacky field in the Outer Moray Firth. Under this contract, TWMA will also supply cuttings bins to transport cuttings and slops from the rig to shore.
TWMA will treat the drilling at its processing facility in Peterhead, 50 mi (80.4 km) north of Aberdeen. The company will use its TCCRotoMill thermal processing technology to clean the contaminated drill cuttings by breaking them down into water, solids, and oil for re-use or recycling.
