ASKER, NORWAY -- TGS will perform extensive reprocessing of over 13,550 km (8,419 mi) of 2D multi-client seismic data covering waters off the Faroe Islands.

The Offshore Faroe Reprocessing 2011 project will extend to the UK/ Faroe median line.

Faroese Earth and Energy Directorate (Jardfeingi) has made available data for this program. TGS says it will apply advanced processing techniques that have proven successful in sub-basalt plays west of Shetland over the past two years.

Data from the project will be available to clients this summer. The project is supported by industry funding.
