ABERDEEN, Scotland -- Jee has completed a conceptual design study on the feasibility of a new pipeline transporting carbon dioxide (CO2) to a storage site in the southern North Sea. The study was commissioned by the UK’s National Grid.

The CO2 would be captured from industrial sources in eastern England.

Jee identified and evaluated potential facility options at the proposed storage site and prepared appropriate survey specifications. It also performed studies concerning wall thickness design, interaction with local fishing activities, pipeline protection, stability requirements, flow assurance, corrosion, umbilical cross section design, stakeholder planning, crossing design, and overall cost modeling.
