SINGAPORE – Seadrill has contracted COSCO (Nantong) Shipyard Co Ltd to build two self-erecting tender rigs for $130 million. The units are scheduled for delivery in 1Q 2013 and 3Q 2013, respectively.
The two rigs when completed will be equipped with enhanced drilling capabilities allowing for higher drilling efficiency including the advantage of a light weight drilling equipment set, says COSCO.
