ABERDEEN, UK -- Well Technology Group (WTG), Brønnteknologiutvikling (BTU), and PI Intervention have combined to form a new well intervention specialist company. It will focus on research, development, operation, and testing of tools and technologies.

The new company also has opened a branch in Aberdeen led by Managing Director Andrew Louden, and other bases in the Middle East and Norway.

Interwell claims to offer some of the most advanced well barrier solutions available to the upstream oil and gas sector.

Interwell says its slim, ultra-high expansion mechanical bridge plugs and straddle solutions provide some of the highest pressure and temperature ratings available. "Our ultra-high expansion plugs and straddles are particularly suited to mature fields where reduced tubing sizes and wellbore restrictions make it impossible to use conventional plugs," Louden says

"Each of the solutions we offer can be tailored to solve individual project requirements with very little lead time, providing a rapid response for our clients. We also have an in-house testing facility where we can qualify our plugs and packers to the ISO 14310 V0 standard.”
