HOUSTON – Halliburton has integrated the drilling capabilities of several service offerings into a proprietary engineering workflow, suite of drilling applications on DecisionSpace InSite infrastructure, and localized, cross-function teams.

The workflow includes integrated bit and bottomhole assembly design, mud characteristics and real-time drilling optimization. Customers also can leverage Halliburton's digital infrastructure, including real-time well placement within an earth model that can be updated in real time.

The integration can result in drilling performance gains and reduced well costs, says Halliburton. As an example, the company cites a deepwater Brazil well where the new system saved $7.5 million in direct costs and 50 days of rig time.
