Culzean drilling in North Sea pays off

MILAN, Italy – Eni says appraisal well 22/25a-10z on the Culzean structure has found gas and condensate. The well is in the UK Central North Sea in 89 m (292 ft) water depth.

The well test flowed at a rate of 40 MMcf/d of gas and 900 b/d of condensate through a choke.

Further delineation activities are planned during 2011 to fully assess the Culzean structure.

Permit partners are Maersk Oil as operator with a 49.99%: Eni UK, 16.95%; JX Nippon UK, 17.06%; and BP, 16%.
