Cascade-Chinook production gets BOEMRE approval

RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has the final approvals from the US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement to start production from its Cascade-Chinook project in the Gulf of Mexico. Petrobras did not release a production start-up target date.

Cascade-Chinook will have the first FPSO operation ever in the Gulf. It has the capacity to produce 80,000 b/d of oil and 500,000 cm/d (17.65 MMcf/d) of natural gas. The field is in 2,500 m (8,202 ft) water depth.
