Aramco contracts consortium for engineering services

Saudi Aramco has contracted a consortium of Foster Wheeler and local companies to provide upstream and downstream engineering services over a five-year period, under the company’s General Engineering Services Plus (GES+) initiative .

ZUG, Switzerland -- Saudi Aramco has contracted a consortium of Foster Wheeler and local companies to provide upstream and downstream engineering services over a five-year period, under the company’s General Engineering Services Plus (GES+) initiative .

The consortium comprises a subsidiary of Foster Wheeler’s Global Engineering and Construction Group; A. Al-Saihati, A. Fattani & O. Al-Othman Consulting Engineering Co. (SOFCON); and Saudi Consolidated Engineering Co. - Khatib & Alami (SCEC K&A).

Under the terms of the contract, the consortium will perform engineering and project management work including pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, and procurement for offshore and onshore oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals, and associated infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The work will be managed from the consortium’s offices in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
