AGR to shut down Timor Sea wells

PTTEP Australasia has contracted AGR Field Operations’ subsea division to manage and support a subsea well abandonment program for the Challis and Jabiru fields in the Timor Sea off northern Australia.

PERTH, Australia -- PTTEP Australasia has contracted AGR Field Operations’ subsea division to manage and support a subsea well abandonment program for the Challis and Jabiru fields in the Timor Sea off northern Australia.

AGR staff will handle the work from offices in Perth and Darwin, mobilizing offshore during the operational phase.

Equipment and support base services will be provided from AGR’s Darwin Offshore Service Centre (DOSC). The contract, valued at NOK25 million ($4.4 million), should take around 10 months to complete.
