STAVANGER, Norway -- Production from the DONG-operated Siri area fields in the Danish North Sea averaged 13,750 boe/d during 4Q 2010, according to partner Noreco.
The SCB-1 subsea producer well has been shut-in for the past 10 months due to problems with its subsea safety valve. Noreco says there have been several vain attempts to repair the valve, and a rig will probably be brought in for a full work-over later this year.
Last month, upgrades were completed to the centrifugal compressor at the Siri complex to boost the high pressure gas capacity. Water injection into Nini East also has been increased, with a positive impact on the gas/oil ratio trend on Nini East.
Another water injector well is being drilled at Nini East to lift production from this field, with this program due to be completed this spring.
Elsewhere in the Danish sector, Noreco has a 12% interest in Maersk’s promising Gita discovery.
Noreco says a seismic re-processing campaign is under way, involving four different surveys and aiming at pre-stack depth migration to improve depth imaging. The aim is to reduce depth uncertainty and assist placement of appraisal wells.
