RIO DE JANEIRO – An extended well test of the Tracajá reservoir in Marlim Leste field offshore Brazil is under way, reports Petróleo Brasileiro S.A.

Well 6-MLL-70, 124 km (77 mi) off Rio de Janeiro in a pre-salt discovery in Campos basin, started the test flowing 23,300 b/d of oil through a connection to the P-35 FPSO. Objective of the test is to develop a project for long-term production.

The Tracajá Discovery Assessment Plan (PAD provides for the drilling of one to two extension wells for the complete delimitation of the accumulation. Tracajá is part of the Planóleo Program.
