RIO DE JANEIRO – Restart of production from the Cherne 2 platform has the approval of the Regional Labor and Employment Superintendency of Rio de Janeiro, reports Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras).

The restart follows a scheduled maintenance shut-down.

The fixed platform, started up in 1988, is 55 km (34 mi) offshore in 142 m (466 ft) water depth.
