Claxton does drilling riser job for Encana at Deep Panuke

GREAT YARMOUTH, UK – Claxton has completed a drilling riser rental project for Encana Corp. at Deep Panuke field offshore Nova Scotia, Canada.

The 5000-psi riser system was supplied as a system-and-connector package with large-bore, 24-in-diameter riser joints, Claxton positive-grip tension rings, an H4 connector, umbilicals, and a hydraulic power unit, all of which were drawn directly from Claxton’s call-off rental inventory.

Claxton also provided the personnel to run the system, which was used to drill and complete one new well and to re-enter and complete four suspended wells in approximately 44 m (144 ft) of water from the Rowan Gorilla III jackup rig.
