DENVER – The use of gravity gradiometry as a complement to seismic surveys is one of ARKeX’s messages to the Society of Exploration Geophysicists Annual Meeting. To help with this integration, ARKeX is developing software to take further advantage of the differing data types collected by gravity gradient versus seismic surveys to fill in data that might be missing from either survey for more accurate subsurface identification.

ARKeX also has under development a new survey tool dubbed “EGG” for Exploration Gravity Gradiometer, says John Siegfried, CEO. EGG aims to provide even higher resolution survey data than that now possible. Testing of the new tool is under way.

ARKeX offers marine or airborne gravity gradiometry data acquisition and processing and interpretation. ARKFIELD interpretation software connects the seismic interpretation software with the gravity and magnetic data for higher confidence levels. The company also can provide interpretation services for integrated data.
