CALGARY, Alberta -- Ithaca Energy has completed the first of five planned well workovers on the Beatrice Alpha platform in the Outer Moray Firth in the UK sector.

The first job involved replacing tubulars and downhole pumps in the A04 well, which is now back on line.

Production from the Beatrice complex during 3Q 2010 fell slightly to an average of 10,125 b/d of oil.

Aside from the impact of the A04 program, 11/2 days’ production time was lost due to a power supply outage from the Scottish mainland to the Beatrice A platform. Also, production from the Jacky satellite had to be suspended for two days last month to implement a chemical “squeeze” needed to safeguard reservoir productivity from potential scale damage. Otherwise, the Jacky field is performing above expectations.

Ithaca is conducting a technical review to seek additional potential within the field.
