ABERDEEN, UK -- Subsea 7 has won a four-year framework agreement to provide Shell Upstream International Europe with subsea pipeline installation services.

The contract will cover the provision of subsea pipeline installation services on a call-off basis for all Shell’s European offshore fields and facilities. This will include project management, engineering, and procurement services, through to reeled pipeline installation using Subsea 7’s pipelay vessel, theSeven Navica.

The new agreement complements Subsea 7’s long-term underwater services contract with Shell in Europe for inspection, repair and maintenance, capital projects, and decommissioning programs. Projects under the pipelay frame agreement will be managed from Subsea 7’s UK and Norway offices.

Shell Upstream International Europe comprises Shell UK, Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM), and Norske Shell.
