EDINBURGH, UK -- Fugro has acquired marine environmental consultancy ERT (Scotland), which will be incorporated into Fugro GeoConsulting.
Fugro GeoConsulting provides services to identify and quantify seabed and sub-seabed risks and to optimize the location, design, and installation of wells, pipelines, and other offshore facilities.
ERT’s specialties include environmental impact assessment (EIA), chemical hazard assessment and risk management, discharge monitoring, and oil spill contingency planning.
Early this year the company completed environmental surveys and ensured environmental permits were in place for various companies in the UK for planned offshore wells. In April, ERT also supported various UK 26th Seaward Licensing Round applications, assisting with writing environmental appendices.
The company has also provided EIAs and Petroleum Operations Notices for seismic and drilling operations.
