Acteon strengthens mooring capability

Acteon has completed its acquisition of mooring equipment and services supplier IOS Holding AS and its subsidiary IOS Offshore AS from Norse Cutting & Abandonment.

NORWICH, UK -- Acteon has completed its acquisition of mooring equipment and services supplier IOS Holding AS and its subsidiary IOS Offshore AS from Norse Cutting & Abandonment.

IOS Offshore, formed in 1986, has its headquarters and main storage and workshop center in Stavanger, Norway, with other facilities spread out along the Norwegian coast.

Current managing director David Smith will remain in charge, reporting to Tom Fulton, president of Acteon’s global mooring business, InterMoor.

InterMoor Norge, Acteon’s existing Norwegian business, will continue to operate from its base in Oslo, Norway, working alongside IOS.
