Rem Offshore has contracted STX Europe to build two PSV 06-design platform supply vessels.

OSLO -- Rem Offshore has contracted STX Europe to build two PSV 06-design platform supply vessels. Both are due to be delivered late in 2011, with a total contract value of around NOK 750 million ($116.5 million). 

Features will include:
• Oil recovery in accordance with DNV and latest NOFO 2009 guidelines
• Ice-C class
• Dynpos AUTR, dynamic positioning system 

Designed with an emphasis on low fuel consumption, and in accordance with Clean Design requirements, each vessel will incorporate catalytic reactor exhausts to reduce emissions.

The hulls will be built at STX’s yard in Tulcea in Romania, and outfitted at the company’s facility in Langsten, Norway.
