    Circle seeks vessel for Oman survey

    Circle Oil has issued a tender for a 2D marine seismic survey in block 52 offshore Oman, the aim being to acquire a further 5,000 km (3,107 mi) of 2D data.

    LONDON -- Circle Oil has issued a tender for a 2D marine seismic survey in block 52 offshore Oman, the aim being to acquire a further 5,000 km (3,107 mi) of 2D data.

    The company says it is evaluating the tender, and aims to start work on the survey early this fall. However, timing will depend on seismic vessel either being available or passing through the concession area.

    Offshore Tunisia, Circle has completed a commitment 2D seismic program in its Mahdia permit. The data has been successfully processed – prospects are being firmed up, and appear to be in line with expectations.
