PARIS – CGGVeritas has launched BroadSeis, an integrated high-resolution marine seismic system. BroadSeis is based on deployment of specific configuration Sentinel solid streamers plus a new imaging technology.

BroadSeis capitalizes on the Sercel Sentinel solid streamers’ low noise characteristics and its ability to be deployed in configurations allowing the recording of an extra octave or more of low frequencies, says CGGVeritas.

“This fully 3D solution is ideal for wide-azimuth acquisition as well as reservoir imaging and characterization in general,” says Robert Brunck, chairman and CEO of CGGVeritas. “It is also immediately available on all CGGVeritas solid streamer vessels…”
