HAMILTON, Bermuda – Seadrill confirms that its semisubmersible drilling rig West Sirius will start operations for BP in the Gulf of Mexico.
Devon Energy’s contract for the rig was assigned to BP in an agreement that was part of BP’s acquisition of deepwater GoM prospects from Devon in March.
Seadrill says more than four years remain on the contract.
