OSLO, Norway -- Chevron North Sea Ltd has contracted Sevan Marine to investigate the feasibility of a cylindrical Sevan FPSO on the Alder field in the UK central North Sea.
The study scope will cover hull sizing and configuration, topsides engineering, mooring, motion and stability analysis, marine operations, risk identification, and cost/schedule estimation.
Chevron operates Alder with a 70% interest, in partnership with Conoco Phillips (25%) and GDF SUEZ (5%).
