Eni China contracts Songa Mercur

LIMASSOL, Cyprus -- Eni China BV has contracted the Songa Mercur for a drilling program offshore China. Plans call for at least one firm well plus two optional wells. The firm commitment well is expected to take 44 days at a cost of $12 million plus demobilization to Singapore.

The contract begins directly upon the Mercur completing work for Gazflot at Sakhalin, Russia, and demobilization to China.
