TRONDHEIM, Norway -- Det norske oljeselskap has discovered oil on the Storklakken structure in Norwegian production license 460. Well 25/1-11 encountered a 9-m (29.5-ft) oil column, with good reservoir quality.
The company says a comprehensive program of data sampling is being performed currently, and a sidetrack will be drilled in order to assess the size of the find.
Det norske holds 100% ownership interest in production license 460.
