Shell makes Emerson main automation contractor

Shell has appointed Emerson Process Management as a main automation contractor on future capital projects globally under a five-year contract.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Shell has appointed Emerson Process Management as a main automation contractor on future capital projects globally under a five-year contract.

According to the agreement, Emerson will provide project and support services for main automation systems, including distributed control systems and safety instrumented systems. The contract also provides for ongoing maintenance of existing systems, plus the supply of new systems for brownfield and greenfield facilities.
