OSLO -- Repsol has awarded Aker Solutions a contract to deliver subsea equipment for its Mediterranean wells.

Aker’s scope of work includes manufacturing and delivery of 12 km (8 mi) of steel tube umbilicals, 8 km (5 mi) of subsea power cables, a topside control system, and tie-in and connection system.

In 2008, Aker Solutions delivered two subsea trees with control modules to the same field development project. The new equipment will complete the subsea production system and enable Repsol to connect the subsea trees to the production platform.

Final equipment deliveries are scheduled for 1Q 2011.
