Reliance reports on offshore India well

MUMBAI -- Exploratory well KGD9-A1 in offshore India block KG-DWN-2001/1 has encountered sands in the upper and lower Miocence target levels with some background gas, according to Reliance Industries Ltd. 

The company reports that data obtained from the well will be integrated with existing geological models prior to satisfying the block’s three-well drilling commitment.
