DALLAS -- Gator Tank Rentals is using Geoforce’s asset tracking and management web-based software platform to streamline operations and to track thousands of pieces of equipment spread across multiple customer locations.
Through GPS tracking devices that transmit position data one to four times per day, Geoforce’s Web-based software can show each asset’s current and historical location on Google Maps along with offshore lease block information. Virtual boundaries are set to generate e-mail alerts based on movement and inventory at multiple locations. Gator Tank Rentals also uses the software to manage lifting compliance-related tasks for each asset such as mandatory visual inspections, load testing, and magnetic particle inspection, according to Geoforce.
“After years of painstaking, manual inventory management of thousands of assets deployed in the field on behalf of many customers, I thought there had to be a better way to manage the process,” says Carter Askew, CEO of Gator Tank Rentals. “I envisioned a simple, affordable tracking system to help us locate equipment, streamline our operations, and give our customers the best service in the business.
