    A sidetrack appraisal well on the Glenlivet gas discovery has confirmed the lateral extent of a high quality gas bearing reservoir, according to operator DONG E&P.

    LONDON -- A sidetrack appraisal well on the Glenlivet gas discovery has confirmed the lateral extent of a high quality gas bearing reservoir, according to operator DONG E&P.

    The semisub Transocean Rather drilled well 214/30a-2 to a total depth of 7,654 ft (2,332 m).

    The license P119 partners, DONG, Faroe Petroleum, and First Oil Expro, have decided to drill a second sidetrack appraisal well.
