HOUSTON -- ATP Oil & Gas has discovered additional pay sands at the Mirage Prospect in Mississippi Canyon block 941 (MC 941) in the Gulf of Mexico. The MC 941 No. 3 well encountered more than 250 ft (76 m) of logged net oil and gas pay, more than doubling the pre-drill estimates, the company says.
ATP has set a 7 5/8-in. (19-cm) casing at a 17,089-ft (5,209-m) measured depth through the pay intervals. Mirage is one of the three Telemark Hub fields that will be tied back to the ATP Titan in MC 941.
