Subsea 7 wins Valhall EPIC contract

ABERDEEN -- BP Norway has awarded Subsea 7 a $40 million EPIC contract for the Valhall flank gas lift pipelines and wellhead platform riser caisson project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

The scope of work involves engineering, procurement, and fabrication of subsea and platform components; installation of pipelines (1 x 6 km [3.7 mi]; 1 x 7 km [4.3 mi]) and a new caisson (30 in. [76 cm]) on the wellhead platform; and subsea tie-in spools at the Valhall Flank South and Valhall Flank North platforms.

Project management and engineering will be performed at Subsea 7’s offices in Stavanger, Norway. The offshore operations are due to take place in two campaigns beginning next summer.
