Acergy wins SURF contract for offshore Australia project

LONDON -- BHP Billiton has awarded Acergy a SURF contract for construction support services for a project offshore Western Australia. The company’s scope of work includes project management and engineering and the offshore installation of subsea manifolds, flexible flowlines and risers, umbilicals, and the tie-ins associated with the field, including pre-commissioning of the subsea system associated with the FPSO development.

Offshore installation is scheduled for the second half of the year using the DSV vessel Toisa Proteus.
