ABERDEEN -- Bibby Offshore has completed a pipeline replacement project for Apache North Sea, using the DSV Bibby Topaz.

The work involved decommissioning the existing 20-in. (51-cm) line linking the Forties Delta and Charlie platforms, then installing a replacement 8-in. (20.3-cm) flexible line using the old pipeline risers as conduits for the pull-ins.

Bibby also constructed pipeline crossings and performed jet trenching, installation of clamps, and debris clearance for a future Forties impressed cathodic protection system project.
