Walter O&G sets development plan for GoM discovery

HOUSTON -- The Ewing Banks 998 No. 1 discovery in the Gulf of Mexico has flow tested 4,254 b/d of oil and 5.4 MMcf/d of natural gas, according to Apache Corp. The well will be connected to existing facilities using a subsea tie-back with first production expected during 1Q 2010.

The well, in 1,000 ft (305 m) of water, was drilled to a measured depth of 14,538 ft (4,431 m) and tested on an interval between 14,352 and 14,400 ft (4,374 and 4,389 m).

Walter Oil & Gas Corp. operates the discovery with a 50% working interest; Apache holds the remaining 50%.
