LIVERPOOL, UK -- Bibby Ship Management has opened a new facility in the Ukraine. The center is the first to provide specialist dynamic positioning (DP) training for the region.
The $1.5-million facility will feature Kongsberg simulators to deliver basic and advanced competence assessment programs to almost 250 students during its first year.
Each training program is set against potential scenarios and led by Oleg Legovka, a Ukrainian master mariner with more than 15 years' experience in the offshore industry. The facility has been accredited by the Nautical Institute and the first students graduated at the turn of the year.
