Offshore staff
ABERDEEN, UK --BP has awarded AMEC a four-year contract to provide services for its Unity platform in the UK central North Sea.
Amec will provide management and technical resources for maintenance and operation of the installation. It will also be responsible for planning cost control and implementation of safety, health, environmental and quality management systems.
Unity is a riser platform handling production through the Forties pipelines system, and is located around 5 km (3.1 mi) from the Apache-operated Forties Charlie platform. The combined BP/AMEC support team will be based in Aberdeen, with a further 20 staff involved in offshore operations and maintenance on the platform.
