LONDON --Borders & Southern Petroleum Plc has completed interpretation of a 3D seismic survey covering 1,492 sq km (576 sq mi) of its Falkland Islands license and has highlighted three play fairways:

1. Lower Cretaceous
2. Upper Cretaceous/Lower Tertiary
3. Tertiary.

Borders & Southern says there is evidence of hydrocarbon generation and migration, including a "chain of five anticlines with gas hydrates located above the crests or slightly displaced on the asymmetrical limb of the folds." There also are multiple seismic amp0litude anomalies over the area.

Initial drilling on two of the prospects is anticipated and the company is seeking financing for the program.
