Wintershall cleared to acquire Revus

KASSEL, Germany -- Wintershall has obtained the necessary clearance from the Norwegian Competition Authority for completion of its voluntary offer to acquire Revus Energy ASA. The company has also received regulatory clearance from the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change concerning the UKCS licenses held by Revus Energy ASA and any of its subsidiaries.

Additionally, Wintershall has obtained the approval of the Norwegian Ministry of Finance, which is subject to the approval by the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy.
